The path to where we ARE is seldom straight or logical, our story is no different. This web site and our work is an outgrowth of our collective backgrounds and the interconnections we have with several people and organizations, and it is continually evolving. Ray Patterson

I started out on a small dairy farm in the mid west (Ohio) and thought I would end up in Agri-Business, but college and the Army lead me in a bit different direction. After 5 years of active military service and 13 years in Army Civil Service, all focused on Logistics, Information Systems, and Organizational Management, I decided it was time to work in academia and the commercial business sector. I joined the Agility Forum to further study and lead industry thought on the key elements that enable people and organizations to thrive on change – our ability to create and deal with change. Thus, I started on a quest to understand how people and organizations can create change to your advantage.

During the latter days of my Civil Service career and while working at the Agility Forum, I became acquainted with the work of Michael T. Kelly, Ph.D. Working with Dr. Kelly and his company, Advanced Management Catalyst, Inc., and in particular their Catalyst Process (AMCat^tm) I created my personal vision which guides my life work and our business. It is in understanding the power of a true catalyst process (a process that is stable and repeatable, yet yields different results for each individual/organization) that gives rise to profound and extraordinary results. Today I am energetically working and realizing my vision as I run a successful organizational and individual consulting practice and network from my home office.

Merci and I are the nucleus of the ever expanding network of life and organizational coaches involved in helping other individuals and organizations realize that “The Future is Yours to Create”, that we truly can have (and deserve) what we want, and there is a process that will help you define that future and what it will take to get there! That’s my story and I’m living by it!

Ray lives in Ballston Spa, NY with his wife Martha. They have two sons, Russell of Charleston, SC and Rory of Clifton Park, NY.

I have been promoting ideas and people within the New York political scene for nearly 20 years. A former teacher, reporter, communications director, campaign manager, I left a six-figure job with the NYS Senate to build a successful practice as a coach, facilitator and trainer for individuals and organizations. During my tenure with the state Senate, I interviewed Ray Patterson to facilitate a strategic planning session. While the Senate never conducted such a session, Ray and I stayed in touch and soon learned our professional visions were strategically aligned. Under Ray’s mentorship, I learned to facilitate the Personal Catalyst^tm (or PCat^tm) and use this process in my coaching practice where I have supported 100’s of clients in realizing their vision! Ray and I worked together as trainers for the New York State Core Collaboration which oversees Americorps program in New York State. In this 3-day training, participants used the PCat^tm process to design their future in the Corps and beyond.

I also train for the New York State Civil Service Employees Association, Seton Health, Magellan Behavioral Health, the State University of New York at Albany, NY (teaming building, change management), the Civil Service Employee Association (self-esteem, leadership, personal empowerment), and the Capital District Employee Assistance Program (time and stress management). My private coaching practice includes entrepreneurs, sole proprietors, career-changers, students, and other coaches/facilitators. I have completed work on my book, From Doormat to Diva© Taking Center Stage in Your own Life based on my signature presentation.
